It’s been rumored for weeks and today Bioware confirmed it; Characters will be able to sit in SWTOR. Besides the epic RP news, Bioware announced the lifting of the Non-Discloser Agreement and confirmed the SWTOR Legacy system.
With just a week to go until the start of the hyped Mega Beta Weekend stress test November 25th – 27th, I hope you got your beta keys, this week’s Friday update was jam-packed with long-awaited SWTOR news.
The dreaded Non Discloser Agreement preventing anyone partaking in the SWTOR Game Testing Program from talking about the game has been lifted by Bioware. The announcement was made by BioWare VP Greg Zeschuk on the official SWTOR forums earlier today.
“As of now, the non-disclosure portion of our Game Testing Agreement is officially lifted. While all players must still accept the Game Testing Agreement, from this point on testers may now freely talk about their experiences this past weekend in the game, as well as post screenshots and gameplay videos of their testing experiences.”
If you are still confused to what you may or may not say about SWTOR check out Greg Zeschuks NDA post on the forum.
If this wasn’t enough, the latest Friday update also included the confirmation that SWTOR will in fact have a Legacy system very much like we saw in the previous Star Wars MMO Star Wars Galaxies. What the Legacy system is SWTOR basically boils down to is that your characters can share a common family surname. How the Legacy system will work and if it will make it into the game prior to the upcoming Beta Weekend is yet to be seen.
